“I had never thought of this being an issue in Australia. It’s almost embarrassing that it had not occurred to me before”. That was exactly my response when I heard about Share the Dignity – an organisation that aims to provide homeless and at risk women nationally with sanitary products to allow them a sense of dignity at a time when they need it most, because no woman should suffer the indignity of choosing between eating and buying sanitary items.
Donating is very simple; just pop another packet of pads or tampons in your shopping basket this week and drop it off on Wednesday morning during the month of April at the Scout & Community Centre at 65 Eric St, Cottesloe between 9am and 12pm (just come over to the play area at the back where we have our weekly mothersgroup) OR leave by the front door at 16 Harvey St in Mosman Park (please no knocking). Our local supermum Ella will make sure everything gets delivered to the final collection point by the end of April.
Thank you ladies! ♥
